This is a beautifully concise talk from Unilever's COO Harish Manwari on why businesses must now focus on defining their role in society beyond the profit they generate for shareholders. Success is now equally dependent on how they do wider good. Manwari is another global business leader who talks of the power that business has to bring about transformational change - in the health of our environment and in the health of our society. He asks that businesses add to the traditional success measures by focusing on responsibility and how they serve the communities that support them. In this, he says, business leaders must be the ones who drive the need to have positive impacts that bring change and improvements to people and environments.
